ALEXANDER S. COOPER

Alexander Samuel Cooper (1835-1900) was born in London, England, and studied organ and piano. He was organist at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perth, Scotland; St. Columbia’s College, Rathfarnham, Dublin; St. John’s, Putney, London; St. Paul’s, Covent Garden, London; and Tonbridge Grammar School. He also edited the Parochial Psalter and Parochial Chant Book. He died in London. His compositions include service music, anthems, songs, and part songs.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
