HENRY T. LESLIE

Henry Temple Leslie (1824-1876) was born in London, England. Little is known about his background and training, but he held positions as organist at Victoria Church, Leicester, at St. Mary-Le-Port, Bristol, and in Ireland. He was known as a teacher of music and was active with the Good Templars, a temperance organization. He died in Hampshire, Isle of Wight. He wrote several popular songs for the temperance movement, hymns, a few part songs, and he edited a few collections of hymns and temperance pieces.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
