CHARLES GOUNOD

Charles-François Gounod (1818-1893) lived in England from 1870 to 1874. Among his activities during that time, he became the first conductor of what is now the Royal Choral Society. Many of his compositions from this time are vocal, although in 1872 he composed the Funeral March of a Marionette which became famous as the theme for the television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
