CLAUDIUS H. COULDERY

Claudius Herbert Couldery (1842-1930) was born in Lewisham, Kent, England. He learned piano as a child and started a career in business. He decided to pursue music and attended the Royal Academy of Music, studying under Sir John Goss and William Sterndale Bennett. He was music professor at the Guildhall School of Music. He died in Camberwell, London. His compositions are mostly pieces for piano but include a cantata, some orchestral pieces, and other assorted small pieces.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
