G. MOLYNEUX PALMER

Geoffrey Molyneux Palmer (1882-1957) was born in Staines-upon-Thames, Middlesex, England, of Irish parents. He graduated from Oxford and studied with Charles V. Stanford at the Royal College of Music. Moving to Ireland, he held various organist positions. He became well known for his many pieces in a folk idiom for song or choral settings. He also wrote cantatas, an Irish opera, and some orchestral pieces. He was also the first composer to set the poetry of James Joyce.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
