JOHN WASS

John Wass (1814-1865) was born at City Road, Middlesex, England. Never married, he lived with his parents in St. Pancras, London, and established himself as a teacher of singing and composer. He authored Boosey’s Universal Singing Method (1855). He died in London. His compositions include a cantata, finger exercises for piano, piano pieces, songs, part-songs, and quadrilles and other music for the British Navy.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
