JOSEPH NETHERCLIFT

Joseph Netherclift (1792-1863) was born in Whitechurch, Hampshire, England. He became a lithographic artist and printer and was awarded a medal in 1829 for his method of lithography. He produced many documents lithographic facsimiles of historical documents by permission of the British Museum including the Magna Charta and the death warrant of Charles the First. As a composer, he wrote Psalm settings, hymns, part-songs and other music.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
