W. NOEL JOHNSON

William Noel Johnson (1863-1916) was born in Repton, Derby, England. He was educated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and studied cello at the Royal Academy of Music and in Leipzig. He returned to London as performer and composer. His compositions include works for cello and piano, songs, and part-songs. He also composed music for several plays. His works won numerous awards and were well received in performances.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
