Rev. Percival Wood Hulbert (1847–1926) was born in Slaithwaite, Yorkshire, England, son of the vicar of Almonbury, near Huddersfield. He was educated at Cambridge. He served at Christ Church, High Harrogate, Yorkshire; Chapel-le-Dale, Yorkshire; and Arthington, Yorkshire. He then served at St. Vincent’s Chapel, Edinburgh, before becoming Priest in Charge of St. Mungo’s, Balerno, Scotland. He died in Edinburgh. He was musically gifted and published many compositions.
