Rev. Richard Ranulph Haking (1830-1894) was born at Bury, Lancashire, England. He studied music and graduated from Worcester College, Oxford, and Magdalen Hall, Oxford. He was ordained deacon, then priest. He served as Vicar of Rodbourne-Cheney, Wiltshire; Rector of Easton-Grey, Mamesbury, Wiltshire; and Rector of and Congham, Norfolk. He composed a number of anthems hymns, glees, part songs, and songs. He died in Southacre, Norfolk, England.
