G. A. BLACKBURN

George Alfred Blackburn(1854-1919?) was probably born in Barton Upon Irwell, Lancashire, England. He held a musical position at Presbyterian Church, Grosvenor Square, Manchester, and was active in the Tonic Sol-fa system of John Curwen. A number of his part-songs were published by Curwen. He often wrote the lyrics to his part-songs.

All are mixed chorus; some contain divisi.
