WILLIAM E. MOORE

William E. Moore (1858-1933) was born in Wheeling, Indiana. He and his brothers attended numerous singing schools throughout the region in their youth. For many years he was a music teacher in the Carroll County schools and operated a barbershop in Wheeling. He composed some songs for schools and, with three of his brothers, all music teachers, wrote the music book The Regulus. He died in Wheeling.
