ALF LUSK

Alpheus A. Lusk (1829-1909) was born on a farm near Wooster, Ohio, and spent his early life there. He was born with disabilities and, unable to work the farm, he studied music. He excelled as a violinist and formed a concert company with two others from Wayne County. They travelled extensively and enjoyed great success in their concert performances. He was also successful as a composer and publisher. Although he was very successful financially, he was a free spender and found himself penniless later in life. All his family members passed away before him and his obituary indicates he died alone with his violin in Wooster.

All are mixed chorus unless noted; some contain divisi.
