W. J. D. LEAVITT

William John de Wolf Leavitt (1841-1893) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and studied in Europe. He returned to the United States and taught in Oneida, New York. He went back to Boston and became a well-known and successful recitalist. He performed more than 800 recitals in the Boston Music Hall. He died in Boston. His compositions include an opera, several operettas, an organ-sonata, organ-pieces, and assorted small works.

All are mixed chorus unless noted; some contain divisi.
