Edward A. Hosmer (1823-1855) was born in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. He studied music and relocated to Nashua, New Hampshire where he became a music teacher and church organist. He died at age 32 in Kansas City, Missouri, while on a trip to the West. He published a number of piano pieces, duets, and songs.
