Thomas Jefferson Douthitt (1849-1930) was born in Pennsylvania. He taught vocal music in New Brighton, New Castle, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He died in Sheraden (Pittsburgh). His few compositions were for pedagogical use and appear in song books for singing schools.
