FRANZ C. BORNSCHEIN

Franz Carl Bornschein (1879–1948) was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and first studied music under his father Theodore W. Bornschein, then at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, winning numerous prizes for his compositions. He became a professor of music at the Conservatory and was music critic of the Baltimore Evening Sun. His compositions include orchestral works, chamber music, cantatas, oratorios, operettas, songs and choral pieces.

All are mixed chorus unless noted; some contain divisi.
