FRANCIS J. BARRETT

Francis John Barrett (1852–1922) was born in Pound Ridge, Westchester, New York, and was educated at New York University. He became a successful church organist in Brooklyn, beginning before he was 20 years old. He held positions at Kent Street Reformed Church, Ross Street Presbyterian Church, and Strong Place Baptist Church. He died in Brooklyn. His compositions include a handful of anthems, hymns and a few assorted pieces.

All are mixed chorus unless noted; some contain divisi.
