JOHN W. EGGLESTON

John Waterhouse Eggleston (1847–1912) was born in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, the son of the Rev. John Eggleston, a prominent Wesleyan minister in Adelaide, Australia. He graduated from Melbourne University, was admitted to the bar, and practiced law for over 40 years. An amateur musician, he wrote several anthems, songs, and part-songs. He died in Malvern, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
